A High-Growth Non-AI Technology People Barely Talk About in 2025
It’ll change the world over the next decade

I haven’t been this excited for a long time.
Two things drive bull markets: New money and new technologies. We have both in 2025.
More people invest than ever before. I have colleagues who buy ETFs, friends who invest in stocks, and family members who think of opening a brokerage account.
Billions of dollars of new money are flowing into the stock market.
And with regard to new technologies… It’s easy to get blindsided by AI. It’s the most dominant technology this year.
But there’s a bunch of other cool tech on the way too.
The news doesn’t mention other technological breakthroughs, although their potential to change the world is as large as AI’s.
I work in research and happen to hear of recent inventions. Some of them will drive the current bull market long after we begin to take AI for granted.
Nuclear energy is growing at the speed of light right now. It’s a mature technology, politics is backing it, and we’re soon going to see a surge of commercial nuclear reactors.
Just look at the public companies below.
The current US administration is serious about this type of green energy
Here in Germany, there’s a spike in nuclear energy projects oriented toward
Nuclear fusion
Nuclear waste disposal
Waste disposal is an issue because Germany shut down a bunch of reactors by 2023. Those were fission-based reactors. Fission is a physical process when heavy atomic nuclei split into lighter fragments. Fission waste remains hazardous for thousands to millions of years.
And now nuclear fusion is becoming a big thing both in Germany and beyond. Fusion is the opposite of fission: Two atomic nuclei combine to form a heavier nucleus.
The current US administration is revitalizing the domestic nuclear power industry. It takes a huge upfront investment to build and commission nuclear reactors. But once ready, they’re reasonably cheap to run.
The goal is to triple the US’s nuclear capacity by 2050.
The ADVANCE Act regulates the deployment of advanced nuclear reactors.
This aligns with the rising energy needs and costs. Microsoft has invested in restarting Unit 1 reactor at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. Nuclear energy is a source capable of meeting the high AI energy demands.
It’s wild to think that nuclear reactors could be commercialized given their huge costs and the tight oversight they need.
And if you think nuclear reactors are “dirty,” let me convince you otherwise.
I’ve been to a few nuclear research reactors in Germany and France. They’re usually on the outskirts of cities. You see wildlife (hares and deers) at night close to the reactors. And if you measure the radiation background near them, it’s the same as in the city.
Nuclear reactors are a clean technology that has reached maturity. The only issue is nuclear waste. But there are technologies to manage it safely.
Anyway, the point is this: A new type of reactor is on the way.
The cool thing about future reactors
