Welcome to Stay Invested by Denis Gorbunov
I invite you to a life of abundance you can build by making your money work for you
Glad to see you here. Let me explain how I can help you.
Mission
Everyone deserves a life in abundance. Let’s face it - money has a lot to do with it.
My own dad is penniless at 63 years old. The one thing he did wrong was to put off investing for retirement when his business was booming. When it blew up, my dad had no savings and no investments. It’s painful to see regret in his eyes.
So I know how bad life without investment can be.
Time is your biggest friend in investing. I’m here to help you make the most of your time. If you read my newsletter, you will
• Optimise your spending and saving
• Get clear on your long-term financial goals
• Learn how the wealthy reached financial freedom
• Take a fresh look at unconventional investment vehicles
In short
I hoarded money to the point of getting uncomfortable with my bank account. Then I started investing and figuring things out along the way. A few mistakes later, I built a decent portfolio that grows while I sleep.
Yet my biggest achievement is a mindset shift from a distrustful finance rookie to an adult with a clear life goal. I think day and night about financial independence.
Looking back on the last six years, the freedom to do what I want with my life is within reach. It’s almost unbelievable, yet the numbers in my brokerage account don’t lie.
I want to take you on a trip to financial freedom.
Details
I used to be a compulsive money saver. No month went by when I didn’t check my checking account to make sure I was up by at least $1k. I felt proud and… dumb.
As the old man’s advice was ringing in my ears, “You gotta make your money work for you.”
Right, doc. But what does that even mean? I’d heard of investing but that seemed like a scam.
So I made my first mistake. I went to a bank advisor to learn about capital markets.
Sales people can convince you of anything if you want to be convinced. I ended up buying into a mutual fund with a 5% transaction fee. It offset my gains for an entire year. Thanks, bank, but never again.
Then Covid happened. I made mistake number two. Making risky bets on overvalued stocks led to five figure losses.
Second lesson learned.
When I realised I was missing something important about investing, I found a professional team that taught me to see it from their perspective. I’ve made a multiple six-figure portfolio since then.
Let me tell you why the number of zeros doesn’t matter but your psychology does.
It’s important where you’re going. You need to be clear on your goals. Good things take time to flourish. Knowing your freedom number helps but you need a mindset to stay true to your values.
The reward is financial independence. It’s not sipping Pina Colada on a sunny beach with a Lambo parked behind you. It’s the freedom to do what you want with your life. This lifestyle kills the routine of your day job and makes you responsible for planning your day. Every day for the rest of your life.
I wish you to experience this.
I’m not financially independent yet but I’m getting there. Every pay check takes me a step closer to where I want to be.
My goal is to show you - in real time - what I’m doing and how you can get there too. I’m not giving financial advice.
I want you to know you have options to reach financial independence. Let me show them to you.
